Pack with me! Packing for trips can be overwhelming, Where to start and fear of over or under packing. I have figured out what works for me and wanted to share my unique finds that have proven to enhance my experience. Skip the chaos choosing what gear fits best and dive into adventure!

The following will be broken up in 6 sections.
Foundation
The first few items typically bought when one begins to acquire camping equipment, such as a tent, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.
TENT
When I began backcountry camping in 2020 I based my tent purchase on light weight ability, spaciousness and within budget. Gear can be costly, I completely lucked out with finding a tent that checked all of my boxes and more! This tent has packed nicely on numerous trips and has shown capability for 3 of the 4 seasons. My favorite feature this tent offers is the 2 way access with double zippers. Cant beat the price!
SLEEPING BAG
I've tried a few, and swap out according to temperature. I gravitate towards this bag most. It packs down, keeps me cozy and warm.
SLEEPING PAD
I love the built in cushion this pad offers. However it does not pack down as much as other pads. Quick and easy to inflate/deflate.
Kitchen
Good food, lots of laughs and time spent outdoors! That's the recipe to all my favourite adventures. I enjoy the planning, experience, comfort, nourishment and community food unites. Even while backpacking I'm eating good.

Stove
Sturdy, lightweight and budget friendly. This tiny stove is mighty and controls temperature steadily. Fueled by Primus 230 Butane/Propane Canister. Don't forget a lighter!
Cook Set
Very compact, love the locking collapsible handle. Perfect for hot beverages and cooking.

Bear Vault
Keeps kitchen items organized and stored, protects from wildlife and bears. Fits perfectly in my pack.
Cleaning Essentials
Sponge - I find this necessary to ensure items are clean.
Microfiber Towel - Drys quickly and packs light.
Campsuds Soap - Biodegradable, potent and versatile.
Saftey
First Aid Kit
Extremally important, when in the backcountry you have to be prepared for any situation. I received mine as a gift one year and have added items over time such as, Advil, Benadryl, ankle brace, medical cotton gauze and tape.
Sunscreen
Protect skin form UV rays and aim to prevent skin cancer.
Water Filter
Our bodies depend on it! Water saves lives. Stay hydrated and protect against bacteria.
Fire Starter

Head Lamp
Reliable light source to keep you oriented, safe and secure.
Navigation
Plan trips thoroughly, familiarize your self with the elements and location. A map, compass or satellite device are all good ideas for reference and safety.
Wardrobe
A side from the basics, I believe it is important to pack these two specific items on every trip.
Rain Wear
In order to stay warm you must stay dry.
Hat
Protection and stylish!
